Tribute & Masterclass with NEOZOON

We are incredibly happy to welcome the wonderful NEOZOON for a tribute programme as well as a masterclass at 36 FILMFEST DRESDEN.

The NEOZOON female artists collective is known for short films created from third-party footage and material. They consist of sophisticated collages of YouTube videos that permit and enable reflections on existential themes of humanity, such as the relationship between humankind and nature. The tribute is providing an in-depth insight into their work.

Masterclass with NEOZOON

During the masterclass, the multi-prizewinning film collective NEOZOON – which was founded in Berlin and Paris in 2009 – are speaking about their films, as well as about the de- and recontextualising and the recycling of YouTube material, in addition to working in a collective. The masterclass is linked to this year’s tribute (p. 25).
